After months of hard work and preparation, we’re excited to finally announce the launch of the new Dimitra Designs website! We designed our new site with our visitors in mind, and we hope you’ll like the updated design and easier to navigate site. Our “Preferred Vendors” page is one of our favorite sections on the new site – if you’re planning an upstate South Carolina wedding, this list should be printed out and kept in your back pocket at all times! From our favorite honeymoon planning services to relaxing local spas, we have the info to make your wedding preparations a success and a snap.

We’re continually updating the site with new wedding gowns and bridal wear, so check back often, but we can’t guarantee you won’t fall in love with a new dress each time

We love the “Half-Up” hairstyle that’s become quite popular for weddings and formal events – it has that casual elegance look that we just adore. We think it looks especially exquisite with strapless wedding gowns, but comes in so many different forms that you can wear it with virtually any style dress. Here’s some must-do’s for the half-up do!

- Hair should be at least chin length, and non-layered hairstyles usually look best. If you’re a fine-haired girl, you’ll need extra flexible hold hairspray to hold that style in place!
- Try to refrain from washing your hair for at least 24 hours before your half-up do, as the natural oils in your hair will help the style stay secure.
- Are you a curly haired girl? You’re in luck – relaxed waves look gorgeous in half updo’s!
- Your wedding veil will usually be attached at the back, where your hair will be gathered for your half-up do. This helps incorporate your veil more into your hairstyle and creating a cohesive, beautiful look to your hairstyle, veil, and wedding dress.
- Pretty tiaras and sparkly hair accessories look great in a half-up style, and glam up your hairstyle.
